Heartland makes two appearances on the Hot 100 List!

The Adelaide Review Hot 100 South Australian Wines 09/10
 Oct 2009

An esteemed judging panel for the Hot 100 Wines of 09/10 included Andrew Jefford, Peter Schell, Tom Riley, James Erskine, and Louise Radman. Our two wines featured were:

Heartland Viognier & Pinot Gris 07:

"Louise Radman picked out the "underlying oystershell" in this blend of Langhorne Creek & Limestone Coast fruit (the Viognier accounts for 68 percent and Pinot Gris 32 percent). "Lively, fresh and flavourful" she felt. The combination of ripe fruits and zesty acidity underscores its multiple picking philosophy: some fruit in early, some later.

Heartland Dolcetto & Lagrein 07:

"Brightness, high impact and precision of flavour are Ben Glaetzer hallmarks, and they're ideally suited to work with these two northern Italian varieties (in 55/45 proportion in this Langhorne Creek/Limestone Coast blend) Raw fresh white fruit, a juicy, airy texture and a plump, uncomplicated palate with some chalky tannin. Good clean fun".
